Three points of disinfection in winter and spring chicken houses
The temperature in winter and spring is low, especially when the temperature changes greatly, and the temperature difference between day and night is large, which increases the difficulty for raising chickens and is prone to diseases. Therefore, we must pay attention to the disinfection of chicken houses to ensure the safe growth of chickens. Can master three key points:
Eliminate dirt. There are many dirt in the house, including feces, dust, feathers, spider webs, and dirty litter. These substances can prevent the disinfectant from coming into contact with bacteria and reduce the efficacy of disinfection. Before spraying the disinfectant, the dirt in the house must be removed. The iron brush should be used to remove the strong dirt, and then rinse with water. After drying, spray the disinfectant solution.
The dose is sufficient. Disinfectants must be formulated at the specified concentrations and cannot be arbitrarily increased or decreased. Disinfecting objects need to be left in the water for about 1 day to be fully dried. If the drying is not complete or sprayed immediately after washing, the residual water will dilute the disinfecting solution and affect the drug penetration. The liquid must be able to wet the object. The amount of liquid sprayed per square meter is 1.5-2 liters. If it is not fully flushed before spraying the liquid, 3 liters of liquid per square meter is required. The spraying order of the disinfectant liquid should be from top to bottom, first roof, ceiling, rear wall, fixed facilities, and finally the ground, and the hidden parts should not be missed.
The time is right. The characteristics of various disinfectants are different, and the time requirements for action are also inconsistent. The chicken house is fumigated with potassium permanganate and formalin. It must be fumigation for 8 to 10 hours. After fumigation, at least one week of vacancy period is allowed. It takes 30 minutes to disinfect the drinking water with bleaching powder. Add 2% iodine bismuth 5 to 6 drops per kilogram of drinking water, only 15 minutes to achieve disinfection effect; use peracetic acid spray disinfection, generally takes 10 to 20 minutes, if fumigation method, it takes 1 to 2 hours When using lime milk for fecal disinfection, the contact time between the lime milk and the feces should be at least 2 hours.
In fact, from a long-term perspective, if farmers plan to breed poultry on a large scale, it is best to use chicken coops. The current automatic poultry farming equipment is completely controlled by automation, has the characteristics of convenient operation, high labor production efficiency and high economic efficiency, and is very suitable for large-scale broiler chicken or laying hen culture. The short-term investment is to gain more benefits.
