The effect of drinking water on chicken

During the hot summer season, when you raise chickens, you should add more water to the chickens to avoid dehydration and death.

1. The feed intake, ambient temperature, chicken size, activity level and egg production will affect the amount of water. When the temperature is high, the amount of drinking water will increase, the egg production rate will be high, and the feed energy will be low, which will increase the amount of drinking water. Increase or decrease the amount of water supplied depending on the chicken body and environmental conditions.

2, drinking water temperature: water temperature is warmed up with the temperature, when the temperature is very low, the water temperature should be increased, and when the temperature is high, the water temperature should be lowered, so that the chicken can drink water as needed to ensure the chicken’s demand for water. Therefore, when the temperature is low, drinking warm water can improve the feed efficiency. When the summer temperature is high, the water temperature should be controlled at 10-12 °C in chicken battery cages.
